Encephalitis

Encephalitis is inflammation of the brain which causes the brain to swell. It is a serious and life-threatening condition that needs to be treated right away.
Children may have ongoing nervous system problems. This may include trouble with movement and balance, muscle strength, learning, thinking and speech.
Occupational therapy will help your child regain muscle strength, balance and co-ordination and thinking ability.
